Study Says Cheese May Be the Secret to Living Longer

Fantastic and delicious news for cheese lovers because this product could be the secret to a longer life “Live more…”.

Researchers at McMasters University in Canada discovered that those who ate more than 2 servings of cheese a day saw a decrease in stroke and the risk of cardiovascular disease.

They also discovered: Those who ate less than half a serving a day, increased their mortality rate by 44.4%, 5% was due to cardiovascular disease.

The study looked at 130,000 people between the ages of 35 and 70 from 21 different countries.

Mahshid Dehghan, lead author of the study, says: “Our findings support that consumption of dairy products may be beneficial for mortality and cardiovascular disease.

In addition, a separate study conducted at Texas A&M University found that eating mature cheese, such as cheddar, blue cheese and parmesan, may reduce the chances of liver cancer.

A compound called spermidine, found in aged cheese, may help prevent two of the most common types of liver cancer, “liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Jimmy Chun Yu Louie, of the University of Hong Kong, added that while the McMasters study appears to show that people should not be discouraged from eating high-fat dairy products, more research is needed.

However: The authors concluded that the research results only suggest that “consumption of dairy products such as cheese should be encouraged in low- and middle-income countries.

“This is not a definitive study to recommend cheese consumption. This study should be treated with caution.

The researchers agree that more studies are needed in this area, specifically on why cheese may have this impact on cardiovascular disease.

If you are a cheese fan you should continue to consume this incredible product and if you are not you should think about including cheese in your diet.
